Passed away peacefully, on March 24, 2022 at the age of eighty-two. Beloved husband of Ana Glavac (Horvat). Loving and devoted father of Annie (Mike Young), Rosemary (late Bronco Balazic), Jenny (Dave Antolin) and Steve (Rena Carriere). Predeceased by their first-born son, John. Cherished grandfather (Dedek) of Trevor (Breanna), Kaitlan, Joel, Adam, Madison, Katrina, Maximus, Ryder, Noah and great-grandfather of Aspen. Survived by his brothers and sisters, Slavko (Matilda), Martin (Gizela), Anton (Josie), Vlado (Sally), Josef (Ivanka), Irena (late Ernest Eory), Cecilija (Slavko Stuhec) and the late Rozina (Joe Vucko). He will be sadly missed by his sister and brother in-laws, Danica (Drago Balek), the late Stefan (Vera) and the late Zvonko (Danica) and numerous family and friends in Canada, the U.S., Slovenia and Germany.

Mr. Ivan Glavac was a warm hearted and devoted member of his Slovenian community and parish, and cherished the moments with his many extended family and friends. He gladly helped anyone who needed him, using his construction and carpentry skills. His quick wit and escapes to the forest to go mushroom picking will be part of our cherished memories.

The family will receive condolences on Sunday, March 27 from 1 to 5 p.m. (prayer service to be held at 2 p.m.) at the J.A. Guilbault Funeral Home Inc., 5359 St. Michel Blvd. (below Masson), Montreal, 514 721-4925.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, March 28 at 10 a.m. at St. Vladimir Parish, 3470 St. Joseph Blvd. East, Montreal, thence to the Saint-Antoine-de-Padoue Cemetery, 655 de Chambly Road Longueuil, Qc J4H 3L9.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Diabetes Canada or to the St. Vladimir Parish.
